Week of March 2-6

Mrs. Stone was our guest reader for Read Across America!

We learned about resiliency and how even if something is hard, we don't give up, we keep trying! This egg demonstrated resiliency- no matter how many times we tried to knock it over, (we tried very hard :)  it would pop right back up every time! We are working hard to be resilient, just like this egg.

We celebrated Nora M.'s birthday! Happy Birthday, Nora!

We worked hard on our plans for our galimotos in science.

After our written plans were completed, construction started!

In math, we learned a new game. We roll one dice and then count on with our fingers to see how many more are needed to get to 10.

In reading workshop, we are learning to become avid readers. We sorted pictures of examples of avid and blah readers. We learned that avid readers stay glued to their books and aren't easily distracted. We learned that blah readers don't pay attention to their books and do things other than reading when they have their books.

Day two of galioto building!

We had a great time matching the Show Me Jumpers assembly! The Show Me Jumpers showed us their amazing jump rope skills and talked to us about the importance of having a healthy heart.

Nora B.'s mom was our mystery reader! Thanks for coming to read with us! We enjoyed having you!
