Week of January 13-17

We had a great time celebrating Israel's birthday!
Happy Birthday, Israel!

In math, we practiced counting the number of fingers in our class by
counting by 10s. We have 190 fingers in our class!

In social studies, we used maps of our fictional town Maplewood, not to be confused with the real Maplewood, :) to practice using landmarks and the terms "left" and "right" to follow directions.

In writing, we worked with partners to help make our
stories the very best that they can be!

We have a new favorite winter song! It's called "All Winter Long."
During the song, we pretend to build snowmen,
throw snowballs, drink hot chocolate, etc.

In social studies, we talked about transportation. We then graphed the type of transportation that we used to get to school. On that morning, most of the friends in KR got to school by car.

In centers we made a fluffy polar bear to go
with polar bear facts that we wrote!
